Libraries are not just for books (although we have an extensive collection!); they can be accessed for digital resources, computers, classes, activities and more. Find out what each Library and Knowledge Centre offers by clicking on the links below.
Library Membership is free and you can even
join online. Next time you visit the library, bring your photo ID and proof of name and address to receive your library card.
Under Council's Library Services Policy, which came into effect on 1 July 2018, parents/guardians of children under 12 years of age must remain on library premises. Anyone under 16 years of age must have a parent authority to join the library. For more details, download our Library Services Policy.
Lost cards can be replaced at a cost of $3 with photo ID/ proof of name and address.
All libraries will be closed for Anzac Day on Sunday 25 April 2021. 24-hour return facilities are available at Campsie, Bankstown, Riverwood and Chester Hill Library and Knowledge Centres. An after-hours return chute is available at Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre.
