Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre started in 1949 making it one of the oldest public libraries in the Canterbury area. The library is very conveniently situated, close to the Lakemba train station. The high ceilings and natural light make it very welcoming. We offer a range of physical and e-resources in English, as well as other languages such as Bengali and Arabic. The library continues to be a focal point and a meeting place for the surrounding multi-cultural community.
