If you speak a language other than English and need help understanding a Council matter, letter, report or other correspondence, you can contact Telephone Interpreting Service (TIS National).
The Telephone Interpreting Service (TIS National) will coordinate a three-way telephone conversation, where Council Customer Service Officers will be able to provide assistance through the interpreter.
You can also visit Council's Customer Service Centre. If you have very limited English, it would be helpful to bring a friend or family member along to act as an interpreter.
Council also has some staff that can speak languages other than English. They may be able to act as an interpreter and assist you with matters related to Council.
