I RUN with Active CB

In partnership with Western Districts Joggers & Harriers

Join us for City of Canterbury Bankstown’s first ever running festival!

The I RUN with Active CB Festival will take place on Sunday 16 March 2025 and caters for all ages and abilities with 3km, 7km, 14km and 21.1km events. Each course follows the banks of the Georges River and around Lake Gillawarna in the stunning bush surrounds of Mirambeena Regional Park in Georges Hall.

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Picture yourself running along scenic trails that wind around stunning lakes and follow the beautiful Georges River. The range of courses make this event ideal for everyone — from serious competitors to casual runners, walkers and families looking for a memorable day out. Whether you're a passionate runner or just love a fun run, this event is your perfect match.

If you love a bush run, then this course is for you! The courses have well-defined pathways, clearly marked and some challenging hills that will keep you honest. Drink stations along the way will keep you going.

For the walkers and families, we're including a 3km Harmony Run. Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity so we're encouraging you to dress in Harmony Day orange or dress in an outfit that represents your culture. We’ll have $200 gifts cards for the best dressed male, female and child under 16!

We’ll also have prizes for male and female first, second and third place finishers in the 7km, 21.1km and 14km races.

Plus, every finisher takes home a medal and cooling towel!

After the race you can check your results online with Multisport.

Please arrive at least half an hour before your race to check in and pick up your bib

The starting point is the RUN HUB, which also includes the check in area and an expo. It’s located at the Western Districts Joggers & Harriers club house at Lake Gillawarna in Mirrambeena Regional Park, Henry Lawson Drive, Georges Hall

Yes. Runners need to complete the 21.1km distance under three hours to get marshal support and have their results recorded.

You can collect your race bib on the day at the check in table. Please arrive at least half an hour before your race start time to pick up your race bib.

Your race timing chip is in your bib, so you need to wear it on the front of your clothing during the race. The chip is needed for timing, to help marshals direct you on the course and to identify you in photos.

Race bibs feature a special tear-off baggage tag that you can attach to your gear to keep it safe during your run.

The gear drop off area is located near the check in area. We will look after your belongings while you race, but it's not a good idea to leave valuables in the baggage area.

You can get to the main parking areas using the Mirambeena Regional Park entry off Henry Lawson Drive, opposite Lionel Street at the southern end of the park.

There will also be limited parking early on Henry Lawson Drive, and there is a small car park (20 spaces) off Henry Lawson Drive opposite Flinders Road.

There are drink stations located throughout the courses, at 3km, 5km, 10km, 12km, 17km and 19km distances.

Yes, the event will still be on if it is raining. The only reason we would postpone the event is if the Mirambeena Regional Park is so badly flooded that it becomes dangerous for participants.

If the event is postponed, entrants will be automatically advised of the new date using the contact details registered online.

If the date is not suitable for you, then you will be able to transfer your entry to another person for the same race distance or lesser distance.

There will be a professional photographer on the day to capture all the action. Photos will be available soon after the event for download.
