Partial opening notice – July 2025

We are excited to share that Austin Reserve will be partially open to the public from mid-July 2025, following the completion of major civil and drainage works. This means residents can begin enjoying the open space, new footpaths, and improved landscaping ahead of the full reopening.

WHAT’S NEXT?

While the broader reserve is now accessible, the new playground area remains closed to the public as installation of the play equipment is still underway. The new playground structures are scheduled for delivery in early September 2025, with installation to follow immediately after.
We are aiming to host a grand opening in early October 2025, where the fully upgraded reserve – including the play area – will be open for everyone to enjoy.

YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.

We thank you for your understanding and patience throughout the construction period. While some temporary fencing and construction activity may remain near the playground area, every effort will be made to minimise disruption during the final stages. We look forward to welcoming you to the completed Austin Reserve in the coming months!

Project update

The works will include the removal of old play structures, fencing, footpaths, and synthetic turf, followed by extensive excavation, civil works, new drainage installation, landscaping, and the installation of new park furniture and playground equipment. 

Once completed, the upgraded reserve will feature a new play tower, rockers, swings, and safe playground surfacing, all designed to meet Australian safety standards. 

This upgrade is important as it will provide a safer, more accessible, and engaging space for local families and children to enjoy outdoor play and recreation, supporting community wellbeing and active lifestyles.

WHEN WILL WORKS OCCUR?

Work will start Mid-Jun 2025 and is anticipated to be completed by End-September of 2025 – weather permitting. 

Work will be completed between 7am and 5pm (Monday to Friday).
