How works may affect you

Partial footpath closures are expected; however, traffic controllers will be on-site to assist pedestrians travel safely through the area. There will be parking restrictions next to the work site. At times work may be loud and surrounding areas may be affected by dust. Every effort will be taken to ensure the noise and dust levels will be kept to a minimum.

Deepwater Park Play Space, Milperra was highlighted in Council’s Playgrounds and Play Spaces Strategic Plan as a top 25 priority to improve the space. The recommendation from this plan was to create a play space destination that is unique and of high quality, to include nature play and increase the size and importance of the space. This includes introducing more amenities, equipment and seating.

Based on community feedback, a concept design was developed which includes:

  • A family-friendly space with seats, tables and picnic shelters
  • A range of active and passive play experiences
  • Ocean themed play equipment
  • A new play space for all abilities
  • New amenities building

Construction is expected to be complete end-November 2025 – weather permitting.
