Pets Day Out returns this November

Join us for a FREE day full of pats to celebrate your furry friends and meet others in the community!

Come and enjoy:
  • Animal Chill Zone and Cat Nip Corner
  • 500 Paws Walk brought to you by Sydney Water
  • Talks from leading animal experts
  • FREE giveaways and activities for adults, kids and pets alike
  • Tasty food, pet goodies to take home and animal service stalls
Plus, FREE dog microchipping for Canterbury-Bankstown residents.

There’s so much more on offer, so bring your family and leashed pet for a day to remember.

Tug O’ War Cup is back
Get your friends, family or colleagues together and sign up your team of seven for this annual event!

CBCity’s Say NO to Domestic Violence Tug O' War Cup is your chance to take a stand against domestic violence – and enjoy a fun competition. 

Register your team in one of the following categories:
  • Men’s
  • Mixed (minimum three females on rope)
  • Schools
When: Wednesday 20 November, noon-3pm
Where: John Mackay Indoor Sports Centre, Chapel Road South, Bankstown

Registrations are open until 15 November.

Public notices

Yangoora Road and Benaroon Road, Belmore - access restrictions for long vehicles at the proposed roundabout.

Council is proposing to install a roundabout at the intersection of Yangoora Road and Benaroon Road in Belmore.

Due to site constraints, some long vehicle movements will be prohibited.

Vehicles longer than six metres will not be allowed to:
•    Turn left from Yangoora Road (west) into Benaroon Road (north)
•    Turn right from Yangoora Road (east) into Benaroon Road (north)

CBLPP MEETING

Residents are welcome to attend the upcoming Canterbury-Bankstown Local Planning Panel (CBLPP) meeting on 14 October 2024, in the Council Chambers (corner Chapel Road and the Mall, Bankstown) starting at 6pm.
