ALL IN for Reconciliation Community Yarning-Up Community Event
Open to the community
Wednesday 20 May, 11am-1pm
Come join us for our ALL IN for Reconciliation Yarning Circle, a space for open conversation, shared learning and collective commitment to reconciliation.
This year’s theme, ALL IN, calls on every Australian to step forward, participate and take meaningful action. Reconciliation is not something that happens on the sidelines – it’s something we build together.
- Reconciliation is not the responsibility of First Nations peoples alone
- First Nations communities have carried the weight of explaining and advocating for far too long
- Real progress requires all of us to join the reconciliation team
- This is about responsibility, reciprocity and shared action, not guilt or shame
- Reconciliation will not happen by itself we must be all in
National Reconciliation Week marks its 25th anniversary, this year presents a renewed call to deepen our commitment and elevate our actions towards reconciliation.
What to expect
- A welcoming, culturally safe space
- Guided yarning circle facilitated by Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC)
- Opportunities to listen, reflect and contribute
- Connection with local and neighbouring community members
- Shared learning to strengthen our collective journey toward reconciliation
Let’s come together, sit in circle and commit to being ALL IN for reconciliation. Your voice matters. Your presence matters.
