COVID-19 Service updates
As per current regulations, it's recommended that all visitors (over 12 years of age)wear a mask while visiting our Library and Knowledge Centres. Together we help stop the spread of the virus and keep each other safe.
For a full list of changes to Council services due to the pandemic, click here.
Our libraries are hosting a wide range of events, from Bingo to Bus Tours, during Canterbury-Bankstown's Seniors Festival. Find out more on the Seniors Festival page.
Our physical newspaper collection has reopened.
You can read daily newspapers such as the Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian at all nine libraries. Community language newspapers are also available.
For now, newspapers will be kept behind the library front counters, so please show your library card and request your favourite from our staff. We recommend wearing a mask when reading and handling newspapers.
For more, speak to our friendly staff behind the counter or call 9789 9423
Opening hours for all branches
You can browse our collections, sit in our study rooms, take advantage of free WiFi and use our computers across all nine branches. We are a COVID-safe workplace, so social distancing and hygiene measures still apply and the number of people allowed at each branch and in each quiet room depends on the size of the library.
