COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: Service updates - as of Monday 3 August 2020

On Monday 3 August 2020, the following opening hours at each branch applies. The re-opening of full library services at all nine branches stages will be reviewed every two weeks. Front desk services are available on a limited basis.​

​​​​​​​Click and Collect​​

Our Click and Collect service lets you reserve your favourite resources, including books, magazines and DVDs, over the phone or online, before arranging a time for pickup.

It's easy as 1, 2, 3

1.      Visit our online library catalogue​ or call 9789 9423 to reserve items;

2.      We'll contact you  (via text, email or letter) to let you know your items are ready to pickup;

3.      All that's left to do is collect your items!​ 

Please bring your ID with your photo and current address in case your card has expired recently; we can renew it for you when we view your ID. 

Library eResources​ 

Resources available through the eLibrary continue to operate as normal and are available 24/7. Access a  range of online services here.

Browsing of collections across all nine branches. The numbers of people allowed at each branch will depend on the size of the library while adhering to the rule of a maximum number of people per 4sq m. 

There will be no access to physical newspapers.

The click and collect service will continue across all nine branch libraries.

Chester Hill  Library

9:30am-8pm Tues only.

9.30am-5pm, Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri. 

Closed on weekends & public holidays.

Panania and Greenacre Libraries

Earlwood,  Lakemba, Padstow and Riverwood Libraries    

9.30am-8pm, Mon only

HSC Study Sessions

These free sessions  are available:​​

Bankstown Library - Mon, Tues Weds and Thurs nights, 4-8pm

Campsie Library  - Mon and Thurs nights, 4-8pm

​​Bookings are essential – book here.  

24/7 return chutes

The 24-hour return chutes remain active at Bankstown, Campsie, Chester Hill, Lakemba and Riverwood libraries. ​Otherwise returns can be processed manually at all branches.

Using computers, printers and meeting rooms

Computing and printing facilities will be available at all nine branches with a time limit of up to 1 hour per session. Please contact your local library for availability and book before attending to avoid disappointment.

Meeting rooms at Campsie and Bankstown will be available as study and free Wi-Fi access by booking only. All usage must strictly observe the one person per 4sq m rule.
