Since 2005, Bankstown Bites has showcased the best cuisines from around the world and this year the much-loved event is returning with its biggest ever line-up on Saturday 26 July from 10am-4pm at Olympic Parade and Griffith Park.
Celebrity chefs Karima Hazim and Big Sam Young will join festivalgoers for cooking shows and a ticketed masterclass, with the pair also set to battle it out in a special potato bake off.
Delicious Indian, Middle Eastern and South American Barbecue dishes will be brought to life during FREE cooking school demonstrations on the main stage sponsored by Western Union.
More than 30 food stallholders will be cooking on the day, tempting tastebuds and showcasing the best dishes from across the world.
City of Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said the festival was an opportunity to taste the world in one day.
“Bankstown Bites gets bigger and better every year,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
“There’s something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to celebrate our love of food, culture and community.”
