Youth Week: Secrets, sci-fi and 80s vibes
Sold Out

Celebrate Youth Week with 13-year-old Maya Ahmed, author of the sci-fi adventure Operation R.A.D, with a writing workshop, author Q&A and book signing.

Thursday 16 April, 3-4:30pm

Think being a teen is tough enough? Imagine discovering a secret that changes your life forever…

Celebrate Youth Week with 13-year-old Maya Ahmed, author of the sci-fi adventure Operation R.A.D., as she shares what it was like to write her debut novel, her love for retro 80s vibes and the wild world of Ravenwood High. She’ll be joined in conversation by her publisher Jessica Mudditt, founder of local hybrid publishing house Hembury Books.

Take part in a hands-on writing workshop and learn how to craft your very own science fiction story.

Stick around for the Q&A and book signing, your perfect chance to meet a young author and get inspired to write stories of your own.

The perfect Youth Week event for ages 10 years and up!

Bookings essential. Bookings open 16 March.

In partnership with Australian hybrid publisher Hembury Books.
