Punchbowl Children's Centre (PCC) is positioned at the end of a cul-de-sac, adjacent to a park and with the railway station nearby.
PCC is licensed for 50 children per day and they are grouped in three rooms according to age. We enrol up to 12 children aged under two in the Abanoma room, fifteen two to three year olds in the Bambini room, and twenty three to five year olds in the Pethakia room. These room names are South African, Italian and Greek, reflective of earlier populations common to Punchbowl.
Our centre is unique in its location at the end of and accessed from a quiet cul-de-sac. We are also part of a culturally diverse community and well known for our targeted program to support vulnerable families, working with them to support their parenting needs. We have installed two water tanks, raised garden beds and a mud kitchen in the playground to support children's understanding, appreciation of sustainability and the natural outdoor environment and its relationship to their world, through a government grant for quality learning environments.
