River Road Safety Upgrades
This project will upgrade a key gateway at the intersection of Marco Avenue and Sphinx Avenue in Revesby.
An upgrade to the intersection of The River Road, Marco Avenue and Sphinx Avenue in Revesby is planned to start in April 2027 and to be completed in the 2027/28 financial year. The intersection is a key gateway to Revesby Town Centre and Revesby Train Station and an important connection from north to south and east to west. It is a busy area with heavy daily traffic, pedestrian and public transport activity.
The road upgrade is proudly funded by the Australian Government. The timing is aligned with the upgrade of the Revesby Police Station.
When will works occur?
Works to prepare the site are expected to start November 2026 and will not affect traffic or pedestrian movement.
Construction works are expected to start April 2027. Council will provide further information about any temporary impacts before construction begins.
