How works may affect you

The footpath will be partially closed for the duration of the works. You will still be able to walk or ride around the work site during the works, but this area may be slightly more congested than usual. Please slow down and take care when travelling through this stretch of path. Efforts will be made to minimise disruptions, and all works will be carried out in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

The new mural aims to enhance the look and feel of the underpass by creating a safer, more welcoming environment that celebrates the local community, culture and the environmental significance of the Cooks River, while helping to address ongoing graffiti in the area.

When will works occur?

Works are scheduled to start in mid‑April 2026, with completion expected by late April 2026, weather permitting. During this time, minor traffic management measures may be in place to ensure safety. There will be no closures and only minimal, short‑term disruptions, with any impacts clearly signposted and kept to a minimum.
