The Open Space Needs Review provided a guide for the former Council regarding land acquisition and divestment. 

The study considers what the needs of the community are likely to be now and in the future (to 2031) and whether the existing open space has the ability to meet these needs. 

The study has identified gaps in provision and the need for land acquisition to compensate for these gaps.
