The purpose of the Open Space Strategy is to provide a framework for protecting, enhancing and managing open space now and into the future. 

It identifies objectives and strategies which will deliver accessible, equitable, diverse, quality, sustainable, and efficient provision of open space to meet the current and future needs of the community.
