Extra holiday waste services
Bins overflowing? Drop off extra waste and recycling for FREE
- Every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- 27 December to 11 January
If your red or yellow bin is overflowing this holiday season, we can help. Residents of Canterbury-Bankstown can drive up and drop off extra waste and recyclables to one of five locations – free of charge.
Where
- Anzac Street, Greenacre (Council depot)
- 27 Leslie Street, Roselands (Council depot – entry via Rogers Street)
- 252 Bransgrove Road, Panania (Council depot)
- 137 Beamish Street, Campsie (Council administration centre – entry via Shakespeare Street)
- Dunc Gray Velodrome, Georges Hall (entry via Carysfield Road)
What can I drop off?
Anything that you would normally put in your yellow or red bin can be taken to one of the five drop-off areas.
We will not accept the following items:
- Paints
- Chemicals
- Gas bottles
- Building waste
- Tyres
- Mattresses
- Bulky waste such as furniture
- Electrical and electronic waste (TVs, computers, etc.)
- Batteries
- Green waste (branches, grass clippings, leaves, etc.)
- White goods and appliances
Extra services during Ramadan
We will also provide waste and recycling drop-off areas during Ramadan. Details to come.
