The youth category is open to all young people in years 7-12 who live, work or study in Canterbury-Bankstown. Young people must be nominated as individuals – group nominations are not accepted. Winners of each category will receive a prize valued at $200 and finalists will receive a prize valued at $50. 

Young people can be nominated, or nominate themselves, in six categories:

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

For young people who have shown significant achievement or improvement in one or more aspects of their academic life.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

For young people involved in improving their local community and helping their fellow community members.

CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS

For young people who have shown outstanding ability in different aspects of the creative and performing arts, such as music, drama and visual arts.

INSPIRATION

For young people who have shown an ability to shine through moments of adversity in their life and are an inspirational role model to others.

LEADERSHIP

For young people who have shown an outstanding ability to represent, lead and be a positive role model for their peers.

SPORTING

For young people who have shown significant sporting dedication and achievement in one or more areas.
