City of Canterbury Bankstown’s popular futsal and netball competitions at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre (MIISC) will be kicking off again this September and running until December.
MIISC’s high quality indoor pitches and courts mean exciting, fast-moving games, and no cancellations due to weather! Referees are provided for both competitions and bibs are provided for netball.
Bec Wyatt from Peakhurst has been playing weekly netball at MIISC for two years and loves her team and the facility.
“I love competing at MIISC because of the people - both players and staff! Everyone on and off the court is lovely. My team is such fun and are all so passionate about netball! The fact that I can get some exercise AND a laugh at the same time is priceless,” says Bec.
“MIISC is a great sporting facility; it's clean and well organised. There is a wonderful indoor playground for kids and the cafe serves great coffee!” she says.
Both competitions will run for 12 weeks, on Wednesday nights. Futsal is Men’s 5-a-side, with a maximum of ten team members. Netball is Open Ladies Super 7s, played under 7-a-side netball rules, with a maximum of ten team members.
You can sign up as a team, or as an individual. Visit cb.city/Futsal-competition or cb.city/Super7Netball to find out more or to sign up.
