Jungle Jam is a unique festival celebrating trees! The fun festival promises to reignite your passion for trees, and it could quite possibly change your perception of them and their significance in Western Sydney. Don't miss out on a free family day, Sunday 20 August at the Bankstown Arts Centre, Olympic Parade.
The fun begins at 11 until 5pm.

The fun kicks off at 11am with the Heart Dancers, followed by a Tree Parade with Costa Georgiadis and the Tree Veneration Society.
There'll be a forum with Costa Georgiadis is Australia's most famous landscape architect and TV presenter who has an all-consuming passion for plants and people. Costa knows just how to bring out the best in his all-consuming passion: plants and people.
Costa loves to bring plants and people together with his holistic approach, which is all about gardening, the soil, and the soul. At Jungle Jam, Costa will not only be appearing in a forum, he will also be leading a tree parade around the Bankstown arts precinct.
Entertainment includes an Honouring the Tree with Prophets (maypole dance), a Hula Hoop Show, House of Rhythm Drumming with Marina da Silva, Enviro-Slam (Bankstown Slam Poetry)
There's plenty for you to get actively involved in – there'll be hula hooping with Melissa Wheeler, Tree Frottage, Banksiatown Tree Zine and Button Making with Outloud, Henna Designs, Screen Printing tote bags, listening to trees and Micro Magic with Theatre Kantanka and much more!
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour says he's looking forward to the fun festival.
"We all know trees are vital for our environment, along with giving us their beauty to admire, but our Jungle Jam is a great way to celebrate all things trees. Whether you have a passion for trees or if you're just looking for a free family day out, Jungle Jam is going to be a lot of fun! It's time to celebrate the amazing variety of trees we're so lucky to have in our beautiful City," Mayor Asfour says.
