A jazz festival, a hip-hop competition, an orchid show or a Lego building exhibition, just some events which could qualify for grant funding.

City of Canterbury Bankstown is on the hunt for innovative people with big ideas to apply for funding as part of its Events Partnership Program.
Under the program, Council will match funding of up to $25,000 and support events which have the potential to grow into major annual events (3,000 or more attendees), helping to create memorable, engaging and innovative experiences for both the local community and visitors.
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek says the program provides a great opportunity to transform your event into a memorable occasion.
“Our City has some of the best events in all of Sydney! From Ramadan Nights Lakemba to Bankstown Bites and Carols in the Park, we are the epicentre for unique and exciting experiences,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
“This funding and support from Council could help you take your event to the next level and be the next big thing in our City.”
Applications for the Events Partnership Program are now open with expressions of interest closing midnight Friday 7 July.
