Trainees, Apprentices and Graduates Program

To date, we have achieved enormous success from these programs, with a number of participants obtaining full-time employment at the completion of their program.

The program gives individuals an opportunity to start their careers and combine on-the-job learning around their trade or profession with the formal components of their area of study.

Traineeships are jobs that combine work with structured training. They are designed for individuals who have finished school or with limited work experience. The trainees are government approved and require on-the-job training by the employer and off-the-job training through TAFE. The duration of their contract is 1 or 2 years, depending on the education program.

Eligibility: Applicant must not have completed a similar or higher education in the area of traineeship

The Graduate program is designed for individuals who have completed their tertiary education recently or within the past 2 years and are looking for the first step into the workforce in their specialised field.

The duration of the individual contract for a Graduate is 2 years.

Apprenticeships are jobs that combine work and structured training. They are designed for individuals who have finished school or with limited work experience. The apprentices are government approved and require on-the-job training by the employer and off-the-job training through TAFE.

The duration of their contract is 3-4 years until the completion of their trade.

Cadetship is a 1 to 2 years program that sees cadets placed in business areas related to their undergraduate qualification. Cadets work a minimum of 14 hours a week during the university semester and 35 hours a week during university breaks.

Eligibility: Applicants must be entering the penultimate or final year of their undergraduate degree at university.
