Schools can help reduce food waste too!
Recycling is a great way to reduce your environmental impact.
Along with other waste services, recycling is organised by the school and not supplied by council, but for more information on how to implement a recycling program in your school, and other educational opportunities, please download our schools recycling guide.
For more information on a variety of sustainability programs, and links to the syllabus, take a look at the DET website.
Choose to refuse with a nude school lunch. Nude food days encourage students to bring their lunch in naked, without single use packaging.
Regular nude food days don’t only reduce the amount of waste that gets sent to landfill, but as a bonus nude food days also encourage healthy eating as fruits and vegetables are naturally packaging free.
