Electrical items contain precious resources that can be recycled into new products when taken to a drop-off event or collection point. This also ensures that hazardous materials in the electrical items are disposed of correctly. E-waste is not accepted in your household yellow-lidded recycling bin.
Council holds two FREE electrical waste recycling drop-off events per year for residents of Canterbury-Bankstown.

- Cameras
- Phones (mobile and landline)
- Small household appliances (fans, alarm clocks, vacuum cleaners)
- Kitchen appliances (microwaves, kettles)
- Consoles
- Modems
- Hand Tools
- Set Top boxes
- Cables, adapters and cable chargers
If your electrical items are still in working order, consider selling, donating or trading in to give your items a new life. You can also consider repairing your item, if possible.
