It is consistent with the mandatory provisions of the Model Meeting Code for Local Councils in NSW, and covers the requirements of meetings, the rules of debate, voting entitlements, order in meetings and closure of meetings.

This Code demonstrates Council's commitment to adopting a code of meeting practice that incorporates the mandatory provisions of the Model Meeting Code. 

The Code is aligned to the Leading and Engaged destination of the Community Strategic Plan CBCity 2036.
