To support children with additional needs, we have launched a series of Social Stories. These booklets explain the process of visiting a library so that children know what to expect. We currently have social stories featuring:
- Campsie Library and Knowledge Centre
- Earlwood Library and Knowledge Centre
- Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre
- Padstow Library and Knowledge Centre
- Panania Library and Knowledge Centre
- Riverwood Library and Knowledge Centre
Just click on the branch name on the list to go to a digital copy of the story. Printed copies are also available.
Social stories for the rest of our branches are coming soon!
We have an Assistive Technology Centre for residents who have difficulty using computer technology.
This includes:
- Screen reader software
- Large keyboard
- Trackball mouse
- CCTV and Luxo Lamp for Magnification for the visually impaired
