Italian masterclass with Giuseppe

Preparing part of a pig for culinary presentation

Sunday 21 September, 2.30-4.30pm

Giuseppe is a traditional Italian butcher, born and raised in Italy, now based in Sydney. He grew up in a Calabrese family where food, butchery, and preserving tradition were part of daily life. After moving to Australia, he founded Giuseppe’s Gourmet Meats – a butcher shop known for its handmade products, old-school quality, and Italian soul.

In Southern Italy, a pig is raised for an entire year. When the time comes, families gather to honour the animal by using every single part. Nothing goes to waste. It’s not just butchery - it’s tradition, love, celebration, and ingenuity all in one.

Through his masterclasses, Giuseppe teaches how to use every part of the animal with care, skill, and flavour. His events bring people together through stories, cooking, and the deep joy of sharing good food prepared with love. This is more than just a food demonstration, it’s an intimate journey into the heart of our heritage. Join us for this spectacular masterclass experience!

There will be taste-testing available and light Italian refreshments provided.
