Artist Talk in Mandarin - Jiawei Shen

Join us at Campsie Library for a captivating art talk by internationally acclaimed Chinese Australian artist Jiawei Shen, as he explores The Tragic Fate of the Silver Age Poets.

At the end of the 19th century, Russian culture entered its brilliant "Silver Age," a period marked by extraordinary achievements across drama, fine arts and literature. Among these, the poets shone brightest. Yet with the outbreak of the October Revolution, many of these literary luminaries, once celebrated at the height of their fam, met profoundly tragic and divergent destinies.

In this special event, Jiawei Shen will guide us through the historical narratives captured in his monumental mural, The Tower of Babel. He will share the poignant stories of these poets and explore their enduring legacy.
