Youth Futures
Gain information, skills, confidence and support to help you transition into employment.
Youth Futures is an empowerment workshop series designed to upskill young people who live, work or study in Canterbury-Bankstown.
Available to young people aged 15-24, these sessions are designed to open doors to personal development, skills training, career pathways and community engagement.
We're currently working on the 2026 workshop series, so stay tuned!

There are also various service providers that can help you with resume writing, career guidance and future pathways.
Barnardos Youth Service Programs such as Reconnect and Streetwork provide the following services for young people to find their career or educational and training pathways:
- Resume writing
- Signing them up on the online Job Search platforms
- Employment searching
- Enrolling them in certified training pathways such as White cards, RSA, RCG and Construction training
- Enrolling them in TAFE and helping with university applications
- Career guidance

WestRise Social Enterprise offers tailored employment support for young people, including:
- Resume writing and job application assistance – helping young people craft professional resumes and cover letters
- Interview preparation – mock interviews, tips for confidence-building, and answering tough questions
- Career guidance and mentoring – one-on-one support to identify strengths, interests and career pathways
- Job search support – connecting young people with local employers and apprenticeship opportunities
- Workplace readiness workshops – skills training in communication, teamwork and problem-solving
Our program focuses on empowering young people facing barriers to employment, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds and those at risk of disengagement.

Their school holiday programs offer young people the chance to re-engage with education, socialise, find safety and develop life skills. Workshops cover budgeting, life-skills, employment, education and more.
