National Youth Week is an annual event celebrating young people across Australia. Youth Week in NSW aims to acknowledge and celebrate the positive contributions made by young people in our community.
Youth Week falls between 10-18 April in 2019 and Council is already working with young people and youth services across our City to plan a week filled with entertainment, sports, music and most of all fun!
The Youth Week theme for 2019 is
Coming together to Connect, Share, Speak out, and Celebrate. We will celebrate it here in Canterbury-Bankstown by inviting our youth to take part in a range of different activities and events.

Enjoy an afternoon filled with live entertainment, food, rides and activities, including dodgem cars and a silent disco.
All ages welcome.
Free Movie Night
Bankstown Memorial Oval, Bankstown
Enjoy activities to relax the mind and body as well as our FREE movie night. Food, drinks and popcorn available for purchase. Activities include nutrition stalls, Oz tag, drumming, free photo booth and more.
Save, Safe and Sustainable Earth
Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre
An evening of performances and presentations on renewable energy. Youth will also receive a wind turbine kit to assemble to see the production of energy as an example.

If you want to volunteer throughout Youth Week 2019 for a chance to meet new people and gain new skills,
