National Youth Week is an annual event celebrating young people across Australia. Youth Week in NSW aims to acknowledge and celebrate the positive contributions made by young people in our community.
The Youth Week theme for 2018 was
'Unity through Diversity'. We celebrated it here in Canterbury-Bankstown by inviting our youth to take part in a range of different activities and events.
The City of Canterbury Bankstown has started planning for Youth Week activities next year, and in order to do so, we want to know what the real issues for our local youth are. To help us understand what young people in our city are most concerned about, please complete the survey using the button below.
The survey closes 14 November; everyone who participates in the survey will go into the draw to win a $100 Coles/Myer gift card.
If you want to join our youth planning committee to have your say about what happens in Youth Week 2019, we'd love to hear from you. Our first Youth Planning meeting for young people aged between 12-25 years is on Thursday 15 November from 4-6pm at Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre, community room 2. By attending this meeting you will get FREE FOOD, event management skills and meet new people. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP.
