The Seniors Festival 2018 took place from Wednesday 4 April to Sunday 15 April. Canterbury-Bankstown celebrated the role seniors play and the contributions they make to our City.
This year, the Festival celebrated its
60th year and promoted inclusion through the theme,
'Let's Do More Together'.

Each year in March,
NSW Seniors Festival is celebrated in the City of Canterbury Bankstown with a program of events. These include activities which are social or recreational in nature, as well as entertainment, sport and exercise activities. We also hold workshops on health, well-being and quality of life strategies.
A packed program of activities took place for this year's Seniors Week in April.
The week-long celebrations were for local residents aged 60 and over in recognition of the valuable role they have and continue to play in the Canterbury-Bankstown community.
Concerts are typically held, as well as exciting day trips. Seniors can also partake in activities such as golf, tennis, creative ageing programs, a garden expo, and educational library sessions.
In the past, we have invited senior citizens to participate in a photographic exhibition celebrating the beauty and diversity of seniors within the City. The exhibition was displayed at Campsie Library and Knowledge Centre. Many visited the exhibition to take a glimpse into the lives of our community who have strived to make our City so special. The exhibition is an initiative of Nick Baldas in partnership with the City.
