Lakemba Nights during Ramadan

This event was a huge success in 2024, with record-breaking crowds of over 1.5M attendees to Haldon Street, to experience the rich food, culture and traditions of this event.

Every Thursday-Sunday from 27 February-30 March, 6pm-2am

One of Sydney’s most popular cultural events, Lakemba Nights during Ramadan, will return in 2025!

The spectacular month-long cultural event is a vibrant, global food bazaar, which takes place during the month of Ramadan.

Break your fast or try new foods and experience the rich culture and traditions of Ramadan. There will be over 60 food stalls and food trucks to tempt your tastebuds, in an atmosphere like no other.

There is very limited parking so make sure you avoid the crowds by using the FREE shuttle bus, brought to you by Western Union, starting from 6.30pm or catch public transport to Lakemba. The FREE shuttle bus runs from Campsie and Roselands to Haldon Street, Lakemba.

Road closures will be in place every day from 27 February-30 March between 4pm and 4.30am. For more information on road closures and how to apply for a resident or business permit, please visit the road closures and permits page

Please note that there will be a change in parking regulations for the duration of this event in Lakemba. Some sections of Haldon Street, Oneata Street, Gillies Street and The Boulevarde will turn into No Stopping Tow Away zones every Thursday-Sunday from 3.30pm-6pm from 27 February-30 March. Please read the signage and comply with new regulations to avoid being towed.
