The City of Canterbury Bankstown is bringing back one of it best-loved events – Movies Under the Stars!
Cuddle up with your loved ones as we make our way through three family favourites this October:
- Mummies – Saturday 14 October at Bankstown Sports Complex, Bankstown;
- The Super Mario Bros Movie – Saturday 21 October at Marco Reserve, Marco Avenue, Panania; and
- Puss in Boots The Last Wish – Saturday 28 October at Campbell Athletics Field, Princess Street, Canterbury.
Plus, a special showing of the Lebanese Film Festival favourite, Carona, will be held at Gough Whitlam Park, Earlwood on Saturday 7 October.
Screening times start around 7pm but if you’re eager to get there, don’t wait! Every movie night begins with fun activities from 5pm.
For one night only, embrace the Lebanese culture with the flavours of Tayta’s Food Co, upbeat sounds of Lebanese entertainment and more at the LFF screening.
You can also venture through a 31-foot inflatable obstacle course, get your face painted with your favourite character or sit back and enjoy the sound of acoustic melodies at our other movie nights.
And the best part, it’s all FREE.
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said Movies Under the Stars is a great opportunity for family bonding.
“We know it can be hard to slow down and organise some time to properly enjoy our loved ones' company,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
“We’ve planned a great family night for you, so all you need to do is choose your spot, sit back and enjoy!”
Pack your blanket, chairs and a picnic basket full of your favourite snacks so you can kick back and enjoy the show. There will also be a food truck available to satisfy any last-minute cravings.
