Local kids, seniors and those just wanting to have some fun will be tapping along to the sights and sounds on offer this April-June at the premier entertainment venue in Bankstown.
Mayor Khal Asfour said with something for the whole family to enjoy, the Bryan Brown Theatre is a one-stop entertainment destination in the heart of Canterbury-Bankstown.
“We have a diverse program with some big-name shows, along with local community productions and live music,” Mayor Asfour said.
“The kids will be laughing, dancing and singing along to Frozen Jnr and the Busy Izzy and Friends show. It’s perfect to keep them entertained these school holidays!
“And there’s plenty for the adults to enjoy, with classic comedy’s and some of the best songs from movies and musicals.”
The exciting line-up includes:
- Frozen Jnr – Tuesday 11 April-Thursday 13 April;
- Busy Izzy and Friends Show – Friday 14 April;
- The Pirates of Penzance – 22-30 April;
- Golden Days, the Songs from the Movies and Musicals featuring Paul Ettore Tabone – Friday 5 May;
- Morning of Cabaret featuring Amanda Easton and Michael Montgomery – Tuesday 9 May; and
- Shakespeare in Love – 31 May-3 June.
Australia’s largest national and international short film competition, Flickerfest 2023 The Best of Australian Shorts will also be making its Bankstown debut at the Bryan Brown Theatre on Thursday 27 April.
The program of nine award-winning short films, including two pieces from Western Sydney filmmakers, will showcase the finest short filmmaking talent from across the country.
Mayor Asfour said you won’t want to miss this one-off opportunity to see The Best of Australian Shorts right here in our City, before they continue their journey around the world.
