One of Bankstown Arts Centre’s most intriguing exhibitions is returning to the Centre for the month of September.

‘Time Pass’ was first featured as an online exhibition during lockdown, but now you will have the opportunity to see it in person.

Through the lens of two artists Mylyn Nguyen and Garry Trinh, Time Pass explores experiences of place, history and passing of time in Bankstown and its surrounds. Mylyn Nguyen creates miniatures of local shops and buildings, with an incredible level of detail. Photographer Garry Trinh has captured images of unique moments in our area.

Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour is impressed with the skills shown by the artists.

“Mylyn Nguyen’s miniatures are fascinating and Garry Trinh’s photos are intriguing. It’s good to take a moment to appreciate the things that we usually take for granted; the little things that often pass us by as we get on with our daily lives. I’m glad we can give the community the opportunity to see these wonderful works in person and I highly recommend the exhibition,” Mayor Asfour says.

‘Time Pass’ is a FREE exhibition and starts tomorrow, 1 September, at Bankstown Arts Centre and runs until 28 September. Visit cb.city/TimePass for opening hours and more information.

Bankstown Arts Centre is also hosting a Moon Festival celebration on Saturday 10 September from 3-6pm as part of the exhibition program. Enjoy moon cakes and jasmine tea, craft workshops, music and the world premiere of the movie ‘Looking for You/ Tim Hiểu’.
