Sister Cities

Sister Cities maintain relationships with another City in another part of their country or the world.

 

The aim is to promote and encourage friendly exchanges between Local Governments, business leaders and the wider community, as well as deliver on specific outcomes, such as cultural exchange or economic development.

The City of Canterbury Bankstown has adopted Sister City Relationships with:

  • Broken Hill, NSW;
  • Cobar Shire Council, NSW;
  • Suita, Japan;
  • Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, South Korea;
  • Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, South Korea;
  • Tianhe, Guangzhou, China; and
  • Colorado Springs, USA.
