In this talk, Dr. Shengtong will guide us on a journey exploring the roots of Laozi’s philosophy, starting from the earliest forms of Chinese writing — oracle bone and bronze inscriptions. He will introduce the oldest known Tao Te Ching manuscript from the Warring States period, a long-lost Chu-script bamboo text that disappeared for over two thousand years.
