Fishing education day

Bring your rod and reel along for a workshop in safe and responsible fishing, presented by trained fishing experts.

Saturday 27 June, 9-11am

Learn how to fish responsibly in our waterways and open water bodies with expert guidance from NSW Department of Primary Industries. This workshop will give you tips on fishing including best practice, ideal locations and how to catch and release native fish or dispose of introduced fish and all fishing-related litter.

To attend this event, you'll need a Recreational Fishing Licence, a legal requirement for all fishing in NSW. You can purchase a three-day licence for $7 through Service NSW. You will need to verbally confirm you have a licence before the event.

What to bring: You're encouraged to bring your own fishing gear, including rods and reels, but there will be some extra gear to use if you don't have any. Please also bring drinking water, a hat and other sun protection, clothes which can get a bit wet and any food you want to eat.

PLEASE NOTE: This event has an age limit of 12 and over. Participants between 12 and 18 years must have permission from their parent or guardian to attend.
