Each year, children and books are brought together to celebrate Children’s Book Week, when schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian Children's Literature.
Monday 12 - Friday 23 August 2024
City of Canterbury Bankstown invites all kindergarten classes to participate in our interactive library visits during Children's Book Week. Home schooling groups are also welcome.
Sessions run for 45 minutes and are a great way to introduce students to local libraries while promoting Book Week.
There will be a fun presentation on the notable and shortlisted books, storytelling and an overview of library resources and activities.
If you would like to schedule a visit to one of our nine libraries, contact your local library directly.
Our Children's Book Week show is hitting the road again and our librarians are looking forward to visiting local schools! Book us for a visit to your assemblies or classes. This presentation is aimed at Early Stage 1/Stage 1 (K-2) students.
