Ronald Corry's career has spanned four decades and he remains the oldest Australian-born player to play in the NRL. He made his final appearance at the age of 41 which included 33 caps for Australia. “Ronnie was a player for the big occasion”, said his former Socceroos teammate Johnny Warren.

Beginnings
Ronnie's formative years were spent in Lakemba and where he played first grade soccer for Canterbury from 1961-64. He then moved via Pan Hellenic (1965) to Sydney Croatia, where he was goal keeper from 1966 until 1975 (during this period he became a resident of Padstow).
Achievements
He played for Australia from 1967 to 1974 which included World Cup campaigns in 1969 and 1973. In his two World Cup campaigns (1969 and 1973) he produced six penalty saves, including crucial stops in the hostile atmospheres of Tel Aviv and Seoul.
Post Representation
In 1989 Corry began his coaching career at Sydney Croatia. In 1990 he moved to Blacktown City and remained there until 1991. In 1995 he became the manager/coach of Bankstown City. By 2000 he had been signed by the Wollongong Wolves and stayed until 2003. In 2006 he joined Canterbury-Marrickville and followed by Sutherland in 2007.
Ron joined the AIS/National under-20 program as Goalkeeping Coach in 2007 and was also the Goalkeeping Coach for the Socceroos from 1993 -1999.
