Junk mail
If your household says 'no' to advertising material, you could save an average of 1,000 pieces of unwanted material each year
Just by putting a 'No Junk Mail' sticker on your letterbox, you will be helping to reduce the amount of paper (and associated water and energy) used to produce retail catalogues. You’ll also be helping to reduce unsightly litter.
‘No Junk Mail’ stickers are especially effective in reducing unaddressed advertising material from members of the Australian Catalogue Association (most of the big retailers) who have signed up to the Distribution Standards Board Code of Practice. They can also help reduce flyers from local real estate agents and restaurants.
You can also register on the ADMA's Do Not Mail service which will limit the amount of unsolicited (but addressed) advertising mail you receive.
