The City of Canterbury Bankstown, in partnership with Multicultural NSW, will host an online community forum to answer questions around the alarming spike in COVID numbers across Greater Sydney.
The City of Canterbury Bankstown, in partnership with Multicultural NSW, will host an online community forum to answer questions around the alarming spike in COVID numbers across Greater Sydney.
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour will be joined by:
- NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian;
- Minister for Multiculturalism, Natalie Ward;
- NSW Health Senior Medical Adviser, Dr Jan Fizzell;
- NSW Police Assistant Commissioner, Tony Cook; and
- Multicultural NSW CEO, Joseph La Posta.
The forum will provide local representatives from various religious, business groups, sporting, education and cultural organisations an opportunity to ask questions about:
- The lockdown;
- Community perceptions;
- Messaging in different languages; and
- Provide insight as to what life after lockdown will look like.
The forum will be held, via Zoom, at 4pm today (Wednesday 14 July).
Mayor Khal Asfour is available, following the forum, for any interviews.
