Cooks River shared path widening and lighting – Hurlstone Park
We're constructing a wider footpath and introducing lighting along the Cooks River at Ewen Park to improve access for our community.

How works may affect you
A section of the footpath will be closed during construction. Fencing will secure the area and pedestrian access will be temporarily redirected.

Scope of works
- Removal of existing concrete footpath
- Strip and disposal of existing grass sections
- Cleaning surface areas in preparation for new works
- Excavation for new concrete pathways
- Pouring concrete pad sections
- Install of trench grates and drainage elements
- Re-turf impacted areas
Work is scheduled to begin mid-September and is expected to be completed by early-November – weather permitting. Work will occur Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and some Saturdays 8am-4pm.
