Cooks River shared path widening and lighting – Hurlstone Park

We're constructing a wider footpath and introducing lighting along the Cooks River at Ewen Park to improve access for our community.

How works may affect you

A section of the footpath will be closed during construction. Fencing will secure the area and pedestrian access will be temporarily redirected. 

We thank you for your understanding as we work on this important upgrade for our community.

Scope of works

  • Removal of existing concrete footpath
  • Strip and disposal of existing grass sections
  • Cleaning surface areas in preparation for new works
  • Excavation for new concrete pathways
  • Pouring concrete pad sections
  • Install of trench grates and drainage elements
  • Re-turf impacted areas

Work is scheduled to begin mid-September and is expected to be completed by early-November – weather permitting. Work will occur Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and some Saturdays 8am-4pm.
