Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015

The Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 supported the LEP by providing additional objectives and development controls to enhance the function and appearance of development in the former Bankstown LGA. The development controls included storey limits, setbacks, urban design, amenity, landscaping, access and parking.

​ ​Adoption of DCP Amendments
​11​At the Ordinary Meeting of 8 December 2020, Council resolved to adopt amendments to Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 (Part A3) in relation to the Western Sydney University Campus site, Bankstown. The amendments will come into effect on the date the LEP Amendment (PP_2019_CBANK_004) is published on the NSW legislation website.
​12​At the Ordinary Meeting of 25 May 2021, Council resolved to adopt amendments to the Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 (Part A3) and the Consolidated Development Control Plan in relation to 297–299 Canterbury Road, Revesby. The amendments will come into effect on the date the LEP Amendment (PP_2018_CBANK_007) is published on the NSW legislation website.

At the Ordinary Meeting of 25 May 2021, Council resolved to adopt the Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2022, which will come into effect on the date that the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Environmental Plan (PP_2019_CBANK_005) comes into effect.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2022 will repeal the Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 and the Canterbury Development Control Plan 2012. The reason is the Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2022 will consolidate and update the existing controls of the former councils into a single set of planning rules for the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Government Area. The repeal of the Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 and the Canterbury Development Control Plan 2012 will take effect on the date that the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Environmental Plan (PP_2019_CBANK_005) comes into effect.

​13​At the Ordinary Meeting of 24 August 2021, Council resolved to adopt amendments to the Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 (Part A3) and the Consolidated Development Control Plan in relation to 353–355 Waterloo Road, Greenacre. The amendments will come into effect on 25 November 2021.

​At the Ordinary Meeting of 24 May 2022, Council resolved to adopt amendments to the Bankstown Development Control Plan 2015 (Part A2) and the Consolidated Development Control Plan in relation to 167 Hume Highway, Greenacre. The amendments will come into effect on the date the LEP Amendment is published on the NSW legislation website.
 

At the Ordinary Meeting of 28 February 2023, Council resolved to adopt amendments to the Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2022.

The amendments, as provided in the Council report (Attachment A), will come into effect on the date that the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Environmental Plan (PP_2019_CBANK_005) comes into effect.

The amendments to the Canterbury-Bankstown Development Control Plan 2022, as provided in the Council report (Attachment B), will come into effect on 1 May 2023
