Nicole made an outstanding contribution to her sport achieving international representation as an 18 year old in 1987. She represented Australia at 3 Olympic Games, 5 World Outdoor championships, 3 World Indoor Championships and 3 Commonwealth Games.

Beginnings
While Nicole did not reside in the District she became a member of the Revesby Women's Club. She attended Strathfield South High School and won the Combined High School's Sporting Blue in 1988. She held three records set as a fifteen year old at the 1982 PSG in Brisbane: setting a time of 11.91 for the 100m, 23.20 for the 200m and distance of 6.14m for the long jump. Nicole was also selected to attend the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Achievements
Nicole's personal best jump was 6.87 metres achieved in August 1988. Nicole became the Australian Champion nine times and held the Triple Jump record from 1993 to 1996.
Post Representation
Nicole is on the AIS Roll of Honor for the Olympics and in 2007 Nicole received the Edwin Flack Award (Awarded by Athletics Australia to an athlete who has rendered distinguished service to athletics).
Since retirement from competition Nicole has worked in sports administration and is currently the Head Coach at the New South Wales Institute of Sport.
