Ewen Park Play Space upgrade complete
Ahead of the summer school holidays, children and families have access to a new playground thanks to joint funding from the Australian and NSW Governments in association with Canterbury Bankstown Council.
The Ewen Park Play Space at Hurlstone Park includes a range of fun play options and caters to all ages and abilities, including:
- A hero play tower offering climbing, sliding and imaginative play opportunities
- Children’s bike track with a range of play features to encourage safe riding skills
- Toddler play area equipped with a play unit, rockers and voice tubes for sensory and interactive play
- Musical play equipment as voted on during community engagement on the concept design
- Tri-Swing set including a toddler seat and basket swing for shared experiences
To enhance comfort and accessibility, new seating areas, pathways and picnic shelters have been incorporated into the Ewen Park Play Space.
Additional trees and greenery have also been added to keep everyone cool and enhance the natural environment.
Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said the project reflects Council’s commitment to creating safe, engaging spaces for families and children.
“Ewen Park is a much-loved community space and this upgrade will make it even more enjoyable for everyone,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
“I encourage everyone to check out the upgrades, have fun and make many happy memories together.”
