Under the National Regulations, family day care educators can provide care for four children under school age and three school aged children up to 12 years.
The cultural diversity of our educators is reflective of the cultural diversity of our community, and as with all our children's services, we practice an anti-bias approach.
Coordination unit
Educators in our scheme are supported by the Canterbury Family Day Care Coordination Unit. The coordination unit staff team is made up of qualified early childhood professionals who provide support and mentoring to our educators.
Cost of care
Individual educators set their own fees based on the service they provide. You may be able to claim Child Care Subsidy to reduce your fees.
For information on Child Care Subsidy visit Department of Human Services or contact 136 150.
Placement process
Staff will call you upon application to discuss your care requirements.
We will start looking at placing your child approximately four to six weeks before the date you require care. If your start date is flexible and you would prefer to start sooner to secure a place with your preferred Educator, you can discuss this.
Immunisation history statement
Changes to the NSW Health legislation means that your child cannot start care in any NSW Education and Care service without the required immunisation documentation.
