Ceramic Candlestick Holders

Design and sculpt your own candlestick holders out of clay!

Session 1 (Sculpting): Tuesday 29 September, 6-8pm
Session 2 (Glazing): Tuesday 6 October, 6-8pm

About this workshop

Session 1 (Sculpting): Students will learn basic ceramic hand-building techniques to sculpt their own personalised candlestick holders out of clay. These will then be fired in time for glazing in Session 2.

Session 2 (Glazing): Once candlesticks have been fired, students will decorate their pieces using different ceramic glazes. These will be fired a second time before they are ready to be collected.

This is a two-part workshop. You must be available for both dates.

Note

This class has a capacity of 12 students and requires a minimum of 6 students to run.

After hours access

Bankstown Arts Centre closes to the public at 4pm. To access the classroom after hours, please enter through the back gate via the Olympic Parade car park.

  • $70 General Admission + booking fee
  • $52.50 Concession (Seniors, Pensioners) + booking fee

The fee includes all materials as part of our art classes. If additional materials are required, such as providing your own images for references, the teacher will notify all students prior to those classes. 

Concession: a valid Seniors Card or Concession Card issued by Centrelink or a Student Card issued by a tertiary education organisation must be presented at the time of enrolment to be valid for our concession class fee.

Bankstown Arts Centre has a council-approved 'CovidSafe Plan' in order to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and Arts Centre staff. Measures include physical distancing, contactless hand sanitising and regularly cleaning.

Bankstown Arts Centre cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Fees are non-refundable and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss a class.
