Summer school holidays are all about fun! But if you’re running low on ideas (and cash)  City of Canterbury Bankstown’s FREE and low-cost school holiday activities will keep your kids entertained.

Sign your active kids up for some sports activities, with martial arts and school yard games at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre for the 5-12s, and a Basketball Sports Day at Bankstown Basketball stadium for the 12-18s. The Basketball Sports Day includes free food, giveaways and prizes – plus the chance to see how Twilight Sports runs!

Your 12-18s will love to hang out at Bankstown Youth Resource Centre’s Open House on Wednesday 25 January, with food trucks, games and crafts, plus the chance to explore all the activities on offer at the Centre.

Our libraries have a full schedule of activities, including a free performance. “Patti the Pig It’s Not all Rubbish” is a fun show for aged 3-7s about recycling and looking after the environment. There’s also Dungeons and Dragons, clever craft activities, family movies and games.

Bankstown Arts Centre and Sydney Symphony is pleased to present A Music Adventure - Emily Who and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Kids (and parents) will learn about the violin, viola and cello as we solve a series of fun musical clues.

Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour said CBCity’s summer school holiday program is always a hit with families.

"Kids love their holidays and parents are always looking for new ways to entertain them during this long break," Mayor Asfour said.

"By offering this great range of activities, all at little or zero cost, we can do our bit to help out and make sure everyone has fun!”
