School holidays are just around the corner and the City of Canterbury Bankstown has announced an action-packed program of more than 60 events and activities for local families to enjoy.

School holidays are just around the corner and the City of Canterbury Bankstown has announced an action-packed program of more than 60 events and activities for local families to enjoy.

The program will run from Monday 10 April-Friday 21 April and will include a wide variety of free and low-cost activities, including:

  • K-pop dance workshop for ages 12-18;
  • Kids clay club for ages 6-12;
  • Free skateboarding clinics for ages 6-12;
  • Minute to win it games for ages 5-12;
  • The Big Magic Show with Benny T. MagicMan for ages 5-12;
  • Kubo Robots – learn coding with robotics for ages 8-12;
  • Family Bingo for ages 5-12; and
  • Living Stories writing workshop for ages 16-18.

In addition, there will be plenty of activities for the entire family to enjoy, including the Sefton Family Fun Day and a celebration of young creatives and innovators from Canterbury-Bankstown at our youth arts festival – The Area: World Tour.

Mayor Khal Asfour said that Council’s aim is to provide fun activities that will help keep kids active during their time off from school.

“We want kids to spend their holidays doing things they love, whether that's playing sport or drawing pictures,” Mayor Asfour said.

“We've got lots of exciting new programs on offer this year.”
